Meet the Team
Tracey
Owner
Tracey - the owner of the Nursery - works closely with the nursery’s manager, Cathryn and the rest of the management team, ensuring the efficiency of the day to day operations and is present and involved greatly at the nursery on a daily basis. Tracey is ultimately responsible for the setting, our team and the children. Tracey prides the workplace on being a family owned and run business, having a close knit team with a love for their job, that provide quality care in a happy and enthusiastic environment.
Tracey has 2 grown up children and 5 grandchildren.
Cathryn
Manager
Cathryn joined De Verdun over 23 years ago and took on her role as nursery manager at the start of 2023 after having a long standing role at the nursery as our Deputy Manager. Cathryn is responsible for making sure all aspects of the day to day running of the nursery is maintained at all times and ensuring that we adhere to Ofsted regulations.
Cathryn has 2 grown up daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Meg
Trainee Manager
Nursery Nurse
Meg started with us over 12 years ago working solely in our Baby Room, she came back at the start of 2023 with a new job role and responsibilities. Meg is closely involved with all management aspects of the nursery and is currently working towards her Level 5 qualification. Meg is also part of our Baby Room team and works primarily in this room 3 days a week.
Meg has 2 children of her own.
Danielle
Deputy Manager
Baby Room Leader
Danielle joined De Verdun over 19 years ago and has worked in all parts of the nursery during that time. Danielle is now our Baby Room Leader and is responsible for all day to day planning and running of our baby room. Danielle took on her new role as Deputy Manager at the beginning of 2023 and works closely with the management team and manages the setting in Cathryn's absence.
Danielle is a mother of 4.
Sam
Toddler Room Leader
SENCO
Sam joined De Verdun 21 years ago and has worked in different areas of the nursery during that time. Sam is now our Toddler Room Leader and SENCO. Sam is responsible for all day to day planning and running of our toddler room.
Sam has a young daughter of her own.
Claire
Preschool Room Leader
SENCO
Claire started with us in 2009 and has worked in all areas of the nursery during that time. Claire is now our Preschool Room Leader and SENCO. Claire is responsible for all day to day planning and running of our preschool room.
Claire is a mother of 2 girls.
Izzy
Nursery Nurse
Izzy joined De Verdun over 8 years ago and has worked in multiple areas of the nursery during that time. Izzy is part of our Baby Room team and steps in as lead in the absence of our Baby Room Leader.
Izzy has a young daughter of her own.
Marie
Nursery Nurse
Marie first joined De Verdun in 2002 for a number of years and came back to join us again in 2017. Marie currently works in both our Toddler and Preschool room.
Marie has 2 grown up daughters and 3 grandsons.
Jo
Lunchtime Supervisor
Jo joined us in 2023 and works daily at lunchtime in all areas of the nursery helping with lunchtime duties and supporting our staff and children.
Jo is a mother of 3 sons.
Amber
Nursery Apprentice
Amber is currently working towards her Level 2 qualification at De Verdun. Amber has and will need to work in all areas of the nursery whilst gaining her qualification. However, Amber is currently primarily based in our Toddler Room.
Delilah
Nursery Apprentice
Delilah is starting her apprenticeship and will be working towards her Level 2 qualification at De Verdun. Delilah will need be work in all areas of the nursery whilst gaining her qualification. However, Delilah is currently primarily based in our Baby Room.
Brooke
Nursery Apprentice
Brooke is starting her apprenticeship and will be working towards her Level 2 qualification at De Verdun. Brooke will need to work in all areas of the nursery whilst gaining her qualification. However, Brooke is currently primarily based in our Preschool Room.
